Slices of Serenity

Recently I've revisited watercolor painting.  These past few weeks I've enjoyed both the bright pigments and the slow and meditative way that I have been applying the paint.  It feels therapeutic and healing to create this way.  It is gentle and peaceful.  Sometimes it is random, and other times the work is inspired by memories or dreams.  There is an ease that seems to be so rare these days.  I really enjoy looking through the stack of finished work--seeing the bright colors, interesting watermarks, and the way they all combine.  There is such serenity.  

I thought you might be up for some hope and joy and brightness in your life, too.  I decided I would share these works with the world.  I have matted them, so they are all ready for the frame of your choice.  I am offering these "Slices of Serenity" for $40 each.  (Shipping is available for a small additional charge.). Each is an original piece of water color art on paper.  The matte opening is 10 x 8 inches, and the matted piece is ready for your 11 x 14 frame.  This is a standard frame size.

Winter Mini Art Camps

  Children ages 6 - 12 years are invited to join me for a full morning of joyful creating in the White Rabbit Galleries Classroom. We will stroll through the gallery for inspiration, play creative games, take movement breaks in between arting and crafting for a full morning. Each program is 9 a.m. - noon, and the cost is $35 per participant, including all materials and instruction. Children should bring an art shirt or apron or wear clothes that can get messy. Simple Wonders: Looking Toward 2024

  As I review the past year or so, I know that I took an approach toward art and life of throwing everything up on the wall and seeing what would stick.  I tried many different things.  I put many different offerings into the world.  I ran from one thing to another.  It has been exhausting and honestly unfulfilling.  It's difficult to acknowledge that I'm putting a creative part of myself out into the world, and there are no takers.  I know something has to change, but it takes time to pause, evaluate, and reset.  I'm trying to do some of that right now.
