Project 52 By Mim
Some of you will remember that in 2021 I created a small piece of art every day called the Joy Project. I had a show in June 2022 to give away many of those pieces, and some that remained are a fundraiser for the White Rabbit Galleries where my studio is located. I learned a great deal about myself as I took this project on and continued it for a full year. For 2023 I've decided to take on a different project I'm calling Project 52 By Mim. I have already selected from a bag of words 52 words, and I have assigned them to the weeks of the year in the order I pulled them out. Each week I will give my attention to the word, look for quotes and insights, and I will create a piece of art inspired by each word. Each piece will be created on an 8 x 8 inch canvas and framed. I plan to expand this into prints, a new card deck, and maybe even put the art on merchandise. We will have to see where the year takes us! Whatever happens I believe we will keep creating and inspiring.
