Valentine BOGO Art Experiences

 


This year give an amazing experience gift for Valentine's Day! All materials, instructions, and a soft drink are provided inside my cozy studio, Blue Door Atelier, inside White Rabbit Galleries, 571 W. Tuscarawas Ave., Barberton. Usually this experience is $45 per person, but in celebration of love you can join your special person in a creative experience--both for $45. {This offer is available for purchase until February 16, 2025, and it must be redeemed on an agreed upon date between purchase and June 30, 2025}


  • Watercolor painting–for the novice who finds joy in the process.  We will play and then create 2-3 simple landscape or seascape pieces

  • Needle felting —learn the basics of this fiber art form to create a flower or heart pin or a holiday bauble with embellishment

  • Beginning crochet—learn a few basic stitches and begin a simple scarf and take it home to complete on your own

  • Oil pastels —Let’s play with this versatile media to explore and then create one or two pieces to completion.  Finished pieces include a mat and are ready for your frame.

  • Vision board–It’s always a great time to cut up magazines and see what messages you receive.

Winter Mini Art Camps

  Children ages 6 - 12 years are invited to join me for a full morning of joyful creating in the White Rabbit Galleries Classroom. We will stroll through the gallery for inspiration, play creative games, take movement breaks in between arting and crafting for a full morning. Each program is 9 a.m. - noon, and the cost is $35 per participant, including all materials and instruction. Children should bring an art shirt or apron or wear clothes that can get messy. Children should also bring a water bottle and snack for themselves. Simple Wonders: Looking Toward 2024

  As I review the past year or so, I know that I took an approach toward art and life of throwing everything up on the wall and seeing what would stick.  I tried many different things.  I put many different offerings into the world.  I ran from one thing to another.  It has been exhausting and honestly unfulfilling.  It's difficult to acknowledge that I'm putting a creative part of myself out into the world, and there are no takers.  I know something has to change, but it takes time to pause, evaluate, and reset.  I'm trying to do some of that right now.
